Sound of the birds chirp: Kinabalu Park

The Kinabalu Park.

This is a very very very late post. Actual date of this trip was on 25May2011, before I even back from KK. Now, two months past and I decided to blog about this. Outdated? I think so but the memories of Kinabalu Park was still fresh in my mind so I assumed I able to talk about the place.

Kinabalu was located at Kundasang. Kundasang is a famous tourism place in Sabah. And I think if you'd never been to Kundasang before when you come KK, it also equivalent to you never been to KK before. The main factor is Kundasang is the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. So, you can see exotic view of Mount Kinabalu from Kundasang. And trust me, Mount Kinabalu is the most beautiful mount I'd ever seen and you can tell surely which one is Mount Kinabalu when you first see it as it's really so different which others. Also, the Mount Kinabalu look so gigantically huge even when you are at the base. The tips look so near to you that you might be afraid at some point.

So, now I'm at the Kinabalu Park where the Mount Kinabalu hikers start their adventurous hiking journey here.

You still notice my long hair which significantly proof that this is an outdated picture =(
This is some view of the Kinabalu Park.

I'm walking to a map there which show the whole trails of Kinabalu Park.

Photographer of the day =)

Way that lead us in. At first, we thought of walking in but then we realized that it was really far and took the car in.

This was the mighty car that brought us up.
Little Kancil, I'm proud of you!
All the way uphill, the car must be calling for help all the time. Sad for the car.

Cold and windy at Kundasang. Even it's chilling cold when the winds blow but it's a blessing for me. The whether at KK town was deadly hot which make me feel like heaven in Kundasang. I notice ppl were looking at sleeveless dress while they were with sweater but I couldn resist not to enjoy the moment of cold =)

Temperature 20°C

Honours to those excellent Mt. Kinabaly climbers.
They reached the peak within hours, incredible men and womens!

Some pretty purple flower I found there. Love purple =)

End of photography.

With lots of Me =)

Last view from Kinabalu Park.

Target for myself, next post on Desa Cow Farm and Memorial Park which are located in Kundasang too.

Rainbow Land

I'm thinking of Hokkaido now

Hokkaido is always famous for the rainbow flower field. It's such a beautiful land but weird enough, I think not much ppl will think of Hokkaido when come about trips. Most of us will think of the romantic Rome and Paris or kangaroo in Australia, but rarely speak about this land.

Rainbow land.
How could you not love it?

Sunflowers field in Hokkaido.

I simply browse through picture of Hokkaido in deviantART and I could see so many beautiful picture of bright blue sky with colourful flower. I think the weather in Hokkaido must be very cool that the flower grew as if is smiling to us especially the sunflower, shinning so bright like a Sun. But what I love the most is still Lavender. I used to read a Japanese famous detective comic book, Hajime Kindaichi, in the comic there was a serial killing case in a lavender farm. Though is a killing case, but the author describe well of the nice aroma of lavender and how stunning they look. From that day onwards, I love lavender. So, I would really like to visit Hokkaido for lavender and maybe taste their fresh lavender ice-cream.

I'm falling for this.
Even it's just a picture, it makes smile looking at it =)

I never seen the real lavender before.
But I choose as my favourite flower.
I hope it dont disappoint if one day I get to see it.

Japanese working in the lavender farm or rainbow flower field must be feeling very happy everyday. I mean it's true. Even you watch a large hectares of well grown green paddy field you could feel so happy. What about a land of flowers? It seems like everyday you are receiving flowers from the God. It's mother nature gift.

Colourful Poppies.

If one day I'm in Hokkaido, I will take thousand of pictures! I dont care if all the pictures looks just the same. I'm gonna do it!

Arrrrr, I want to go Hokkaido! =(

Popcorns Day

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2
warps the whole story in perfection! =)

But I guess that's only applied to those who watched all the previous 7 movies. I never read the hundred pages book of J.K Rowling, I'm more to the HP movie fan. So, I dont know how the readers would feel about the last movie. Maybe terrible as the movies were so much briefly present and lack of information. But from the point of view of a person who just plainly watched the movie, I think it's simply great! It suspend me so much that I dont feel like I'm in the cinema for two hours. Or most probably I dont know the storyline that's why I'm so excited.

To be honest, I didn expect much from this movie as the previous HP5 and HP6 failed to impress me. So, I thought I just watch this last chapter since I had watched all the previous HP. And it didn disappoint me this time. Worth my movie tickets and my passion towards HP movies. J.K Rowling is really an impressive writer who able to manipulate the imaginative wizardry world so well. Of course credit to David Yates too who turns the words into visual image.

Okay, now some pictures from the movies to see how they grow through the years.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

They looked so adorable!!!!
Emma at her age of 10, Daniel 11 and Rupert 12.

Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone - harry-potter-vs-twilight

Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone - harry-potter-vs-twilight
Can never forget how cute she looks in bushy hair!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Vast different from HP1 and 2. They looked so much grown up. Hermione turns out to be a beauty!

Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe in Warner Bros. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I couldn recognized her as Emma at first. I thought they changed the actress until I checked the cast name. Is it my ability to recognize a person so bad or just she changed too much? >.<

Harry grew so handsome here!

I prefer HP3 more that the first and second movie. It's much more interesting and it seems that the director had includes more physical touch between these actors and actress. And this movie makes me think that Harry and Hermione looks so good together. Maybe not Harry and Hermione but Daniel and Emma =)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

More new actors and actresses! Good looking Robert Pattinson!

2005 harry potter and the goblet of fire 077
And the Yule Ball. Hermoine is absolutely gorgeous and Harry is charming. Ermmmm, Ron, quite in the mood I guess? Hahahhaah!

Still shot from the movie: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I still rmber this.
Rita Skeeter : Young love!

I love HP4 the most of all!

Finally the Last Battle,
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

They look much like an adult now, of course.
It's been ten years since the first movie.
We all have together witness their grow.

Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows script

They form a perfect match you see.
But too bad that they are not together. Ron and Hermoine are more compatible in the character wise.

Now, farewell Harry Potter! :)

Summer Light : Lost World of Tambun

Last part of the 7days trip with hsemates. Here we are setting ourselves in the awesome splashing water adventure at Lost World of Tambun. This water theme park is like another branch of Sunway Lagoon in Subang Jaya. It was a sudden plan to enter this theme park but this is a definitely a must visit place in Ipoh. Ipoh is usually famous with their caves, Kek Lok Tong, Nam Tin Tong and dont know what else tong. During the massive hot weather, visiting all those caves is as slow suicide. Therefore, this could be a great escape from hot weather.

Yet, double reminder; DO APPLY LOTSA SUNBLOCK.
Or else, you will end up like me, sunburn, bear the pain and depressed over dark skin.

Apart from that, Lost World of Tambun is great!

None of use been here before, so yeahhhhh all of us are equally excited.
Look at our eager faces =)

Busy with the tickets.
Adult entrance fee : Rm38

Act retarded and you will get 30% discount!

Entrance fee is included petting zoo and hot spring. Also, tiger feeding show available at many different time.

PETTING ZOO!

This is the part I love the most about the Lost World. I'd never been to a petting zoo before. This is a really good experience. You get so close with these animals and they just look so cuteeee!! You can pet most of the animals (not porcupine) as you wanted and if you are brave enough. The list of animals that I could rmber are racoons, rabbits, guinea pigs, skunk (I'm sure no one would want to pet them), hamsters, various species of birds, tortoises, monkeys, sugar gliders and more animals that I couldn rmber their names. There is a small reptiles zone too.

WELCOMING BOARD =)
We are allowed to feed the animals too. Each packet of food cost RM1.00 and it's different depending on animals. You can buy the animal food just as you enter the entrance of the petting zoo. I bought three different packet for the raccoons, rabbits/guinea pigs and birds. Must must must buy the bird food as they will only come to you when you feed them.

Reminder 2: BRING CAMERA!
You wont want to miss out pretty picture in there. We went in first time without camera as we thought we will be all wet soon so why trouble ourselves bringing non-waterproof camera. So, after all the water games, bath then reenter again for pictures!

As you enter, the first animal you meet is..
RUBY & FRIENDS

Maybe she is Ruby? I dont know. She just seems to stand there 24/7 waiting for food. Others lazying around branches.

SEEEEEE! You get a close touch with them. They dont bite but their hand it's a bit wet. It's alright, not dirty though.

This poor little thing keep waiting below. Must be scare of Ruby.

These two waiting at the other end. We thought they are not interested with our food. But, when we offered high up towards them, they grabbed it eagerly! So cute to see how eager they wanted food.

And this, just stay at the middle way. Lying comfortably.
There is also a cute baby raccoon we saw when we first enter. That baby raccoon freely walking around the visitor walkway. Sniffing along the stone to look for food and zookeepers babysitting him all the time. He was so cute that I couldn resist not touching him. But, he is a bit ignorant as no matter how I touch him, he still sniffing and finding for food. Really a hearty! Make me feel like adopting a baby raccoon! Too bad that the second time we enter, he's not there. So, not picture of him and imagine how regret am I for not bringing camera during the first visit =(

Finally a group picture.

Then, Rabbit Wonderland.

With guinea pigs as the rabbit neighbours.

Closer look. They are really clean! Zookeepers are really hardworking.

Attempt to feed the rabbits. But, they ignored us =.=
They were still so active the first time we visit. Now, probably they are full after feeding by others.

So maybe Mr. Heah too afraid that we will wasted the rabbit food
and he decided to feed me instead -________-

Working hard to attract them.
Maybe some rabbit language?

GOT ONEEEEEEEEEEE!

Delighted for their response too us. We are like "Faster take my picture, faster faster".

And when Yifui taking our picture from far,
EVIL RABBIT BITE ME!

This is the proof of crime scene! That rabbit is still biting me! I know everyone would say this is a priceless picture. And this picture never failed to make ppl laugh including the victim =( I realized how funny I look inside there and that expression is hilarious! I cant stop laughing too. But that moment is pure embarrassment. I shouted so LOUDLY when it bite. All the zookeepers attention were on me and they laughed too when I said, "It bite me!". Goshhhhhh, unforgettable. Maybe next time you visit, you will see a "Careful, rabbit bites" warning board there.

Rabbit can be harmful. It bleeds you see and that's explains my expression.

Next stop, the bird park.
A closed area with hundreds of birds flying free in there.

Brave enough? Get birds to stand all over you!

Now he look like a branch!

What a faking smile.

Paka chan smile is much better!

See me enjoying all the while. It's really fun.

But wait, misfortune is going to fall be on me soooooooon..

A bird from nowhere attacked my head!
And you can see Paka and Heah Kun laughing happily.
Even the zookeeper
-___________________-
You may wonder is it painful? The answer is yessss! But not too painful till the head bleed. It's just feel like hard scratching over you head.

Unable to stand the pain. I just pushed the bird away. Too bad for you Mr./Mrs./ Miss Bird.

Now a decent picture with much friendly bird.

This is a yellow cock I think. I dont really rmber what the zookeeper told us about it. His feather are beautiful. Silky and golden, look so macho!

The glamorous peacock.
Looks fierce so all of us were scared to feed him.

Paka was the first whom tried!

Then me. Ermmm, it was a slight pain especially when the bird food get lesser. The pain should be equivalent to the pain of pinch with sharp finger nails. Or seems like the a pair of scissors cutting your finger. But of course, the pain is bearable and not bleed.

That's yifui expression! Hahahahahhaha!

And Heah Kun!

Talking parrot. I heard them mumble but not really sure what they said.

Here's another one enjoying the corn.

Omg, I love this hedgehog!
I feel like having this in my home now!!!
So round and cute!

Ending our journey with peace!

The water games in Lost World of Tambun are much lesser compare to Sunway Lagoon and A-Famosa Resort. Only two water games, a river and big pool. However, what's more in here is the hot spring. Five hot spring pool with different degrees with lowest 37 degree and highest 47 degrees. I couldn get myself in the 47degrees pool at all. I dipped my leg a little on the 47 degrees pool surface and it feels like burning! But the rest are alright. There is one hot spring pool with those stone for foot massage. I love that the most as my leg feel so comfortable after soaking in the hot water with additional foot massage.

Good experience you shall never missed =)
