Continuous from previous post,
Kundasang War Memorial Park.
Actually I kinda wonder why there is a War Memorial Park uphill. Usually when you speak about hills, you will just think of vegetable farm, strawberry farm or cactus farm just like the one in Cameron Highland. I mean it's basic to understand that cool weather are best for growing healthy vegetables and whats gonna do with war right? So, I did a little research online and this is what I got.
"A must-visit in Kundasang is the Kundasang War Memorial. Established in 1962, this was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan and during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II. The memorial also remembers the people of North Borneo who risked their lives to help the POWs."
As an additional information, Kundasang is located in between KK and Ranau. Further from Ranau is Sandakan. So, I think war happening in Ranau and Sandakan left some footprints on Kundasang.

Information regarding the fees.
So, this is the beginning of the War Memorial journey.
Go through the stairs and floras. Just a short distance though.
You may meet some really cute species. Love the red. Km with matching hair colour.
Something about the War Memorial.
Read more and you'll understand.
But I did not, came here for sightseeing and have no interest in reading!
Ginormous beetle but fake.
Read that and it does sounds a little sad for them.
Look at how focus am I reading the rules!
Okay written there, "Steal flower, fine $100.00, got t.v (meaning got cctv)"
Then, on the white board,
"ATTENTION
You are not allowed to bring food and drinks in the garden area. Thankyou"
And notice the right picture, I'm drinking in the garden! HAHHAHAHHA!
This is what I wonder, they wrote in Malay, what if the tourists are non-Malay reader which will most likely would be since it's a tourism spot.
Visiting the first garden, Australia Garden.
In the garden, it seems like the grass are saying "Please do not step on me, I will die"
And I step on it! =)=)=)
Okay, dont curse me nature lover, I didn step on it, it's angle confusion. I'm still a civilized tourist!
Me, being very eager to take lotsa of pics there.
This is the English Garden!
Just a small garden. It's all in this picture.
Some dedication.
And that's the end of English Garden.
Borneo Garden.
It's even more pathetic. Nothing much and the plants looks like bushes.
But it lead to a beautiful view.
Stunning and amazing.
This is what you can see from the Borneo Garden.
I cant stop myself from repeating this,
THE SKY IS BREATHTAKING! ♥
Clear, blue sky makes me HAPPY!
And this. It looks like those Greek building. Names like Athena, Hercules playing in my mind.
Salute to those who sacrifice.
This is the last part of the War Memorial.
You can see the most clear and exotic view of Kundasang from where I stand.
Small villages you can see there.
Say byeee to the Memorial Park =)
