LittleBites : Pasta Zanmai

Last last Sunday, 14th August 2011.

Have you ever thought of putting romantic Italy with Japanese culture together? Let's imagine that you're walking along the famous Colosseum but you're in kimono and everyone are in kimonos! Or you're dining in a Japanese restaurant, sitting on tatami mat, holding chopstick but they serve you pasta! Hahahhahaa, weird picture right? That's my first thought on..

The name of the restaurant represent well of the food, yes, combination of Italian cuisines with Japanese cuisines. Pasta with sashimi. The combination doesnt sounds convincing? But believe me, it taste good! =)=)

So, here are pictures of the environment.


Acceptable environment? Hahaha, you dont need to force yourselves to adapt the weird combination of Italy-Japan design yet.


And you dont need to sit on tatami mat for pasta!


The menu.


August promotion over there. You see the top left picture of sushi? That's the only sushi available there. Others are all rice and pasta. Dessert looking good too but I'd Baskin Robbin before this so I didn order any.


Nkm looking indecisive. I forced her to stop moving so I could take this pic as my humble camera couldn take proper pic if the lighting not enough. "At any condition, indoor is consider not enough lighting for my camera =.="


MY FRUIT TEA!
Ordered because it sounds nice. But when it comes, I started to doubt. I didnt expect that there will be so many fruit cubes mixing in this fruit tea. So when things come to many in mixing, the taste will usually comes out weird.


It's my reflex reaction to look like that.

Nkm was saying, "Why you look like that? Nvm la, if it taste weird, you drink my passion fruit tea." I forced her to order that passion fruit tea as back up in case my drink taste weird.

IT'S MARVELOUS! ♥
I love it and it suits my taste well!


I even love the fruit cubes! Bites of kiwi, strawberry, apple, watermelon and others are yums! ♥♥♥♥♥

On the other hand, Nkm's passion fruit tea was the one which taste weird. Hahahhahahaha! Somehow, we think that the waiter gave us the wrong one. It taste like blackcurrant more but being kind, Nkm just accepted whatever served to her.

Then, came the main course.


My salmon pasta cooked with sesame sauce!
This is good! Usually I just favour pasta cooked with red sauce but this won my heart too!


Awwwwwwwwww, good food come to mummy stomach!

Nkm's unagi rice.
She dont really like Japanese cuisine and the only thing she will order in a Japanese restaurant is unagi. Well, she enjoys rich taste food a lot.


The leftover. It's really, really niceeeee but my stomach say no anymore =( It's okay though, I didn waste food. Nkm had it all in her stomach!


Leftover fruit tea? NOOO! I slurped it all! =)

Ohhh, Pizza Italia.

Two days after my wisdom tooth extraction, I'm feeling much better now! =) But but but, still unable to open my mouth wide and chew my desire food. And I have to take medicine punctually, 7am, 3pm and 11pm everyday. Or else, the pain will be coming back. It makes me feel like I'm addicted to drug where I will look for the pain escape when it's time.

Also, I'm still on my soft diet!

Soft diet means I can only eat food which are mashed, pureed, combined with sauce or gravy, or cooked in soups. In short, it is food that can be eaten by just swallowing and need no to chew.

Ohhhh, I miss my last lunch before the tooth extraction.

Fried eggs with bread plus nuggets!
I purposely made this for myself the day before dental appointment as I know I wont be able to eat this after the extraction. Wise act. Looking at this pic make me crave for it nowwwww! =(=(

The night of the day my tooth got extracted, I promised to accompany Nkm for dinner at....


PIZZA ITALIA!!!
Ohhhh, I wish to try the food since very long ago. But didn get a chance. So, finally I'm here but, I, can't, eat! This is so SAD! T.T


In fact, I can't talk too. My only communication way is through paper and pen =( So, I brought along my favourite Cardcaptor Sakura note book! Hehehe =) The third sentence written, "Later ppl thought I'm mute".


Her happy face cause I'm finally so quiet and easily to bully!

I brought along MingMing too.

Well, actually she insisted to come along -________-
And she is teasing me most of the time for being unable to speak.
She she she she even scribble my book!

Finally, the food were served!


Nkm's fish and chip! Looks so delicious to me. My stomach is growling now. I just had yogurt and bread for lunch today. So mild in taste. I want some fried food!!!! Regret blogging this now!


MingMing's Chicken Para...(I forgot the name) Hers look even tempting! I'm not fond to cheese but the meat looks juicy! *Glurp glurp*

And my dinner for the day? Well, well, well..

THE MUSHROOM SOUP!
That's the only food I'd for the day. I drank Milo before the extraction. After that, I couldn eat anything anymore =( I tried to eat a spoon of MingMing's maggi mee. But one small spoon, I'd to divide it to few parts to swallow in. End up, I gave up. So, mushroom soup was heaven for that moment! In normal day, I dont favour cream soup at all!

*I hope during the soft diet period, I could loose some weight. Ehehehehehe. Some reward for all the pain and food constraint*

Arhhhh, I couldn resist this! Sososososo, I mashed the cake and swallow it bit by bit. I'm so persistence in food for the first time! Urmmmm, yummmy! Dessert makes me happy! ♥

An unlucky day

Today, I had my surgical tooth extraction. It was a bad experience. I wish my wisdom tooth was never decay, never had a hole, never pain and I never need to see a dentist. This is my first time extracting my tooth and my first time, became my nightmare. I will, from now on, brush my teeth so properly every morning and night. And at best, I will brush with Sensodyne rapid repair toothpaste! Please dont let me have a second time.

The dentist is a very professional and there is nothing wrong with him. He even gave me unconditional support like "You're doing good" and "Very good". But the whole process is just very torturing. It's not painful like you get a cut or getting an injection. The uncomfortable part is when the dentist drilling your tooth, you can feel the pressure of the drilling, strong pressure acting on your gum. Some sort of that. And it's very annoying to hear the "nyiiiii" sound of the drilling tool. For a moment, it feels like a mechanic using cutter to cut steel -_________- The worst part you could be in is YOUR TOOTH DONT WANNA COME OUT! Omg, I've been praying as if I'm delivering, "Come out come out, pleaseeee". I know deliver a baby with be like 1000000000x worst so I had a thought, never deliver! Sorry mom, I cant be like you =(

Before the surgery the dentist told me,
"You wont be able to smile after this."

He said that for I will experience numbness at my lips after the extraction. But it turns out some truth of his words. Not only the numbness lock me from smiling but also the intolerable pain. The stitched area bleeds from the moment I left the clinic at 10am till 12pm. I kept changing gauze and apply pressure but it still bleeds. And it's very uncomfortable after removing the gauze. Taste of blood, pain when swallow saliva and worst, you can feel the stitches. As if your tongue are connected with the gums by stitches where you can feel it pulling when ever you tried to swallow saliva. And I cant talk! Barely able to even open my mouth so I have to communicate with paper and pen.

After all the pain I go through, I'm feeling slightly better so I fetch MingMing to tuition. We had planned for a slow and steady ride since we are out from hse early. And here is another misfortune befall us! I stopped at roundabout checking for cars coming from right, then out-of-nowhere, a motorbike just hit our car. I'm speechless actually. It's not the first time that a bike just hit my car for no reason when my car isnt moving at all. My car is static there and why cant they just see my car instead they run into it? Last time was my Little Kancil but this time, my sister new Viva T.T What could be worst is that the motorcyclists call me to pull the car forward for discussion. Considering it was at corner, I agreed. But they cheated and just ran off! T.T I'm totally speechless! MingMing was very angry! I did took down their plate number. I reported police but it isnt enough. What's the point of having their plate number while my sis car now is quite damage. Bumper off, signal light broken, left passenger door scratched and few scratches somewhere. It maybe not my fault but I felt very guilty. My mistake was to agree to pull the car forward.

Today is a really bad day.

The dentist is quite a fortune teller. I really cant smile for the whole day. The bad luck plus with the pain in my mouth, how can I still carve curve on my lips.

So many things happen in a day. Dear God, I'm just a normal human to cope with it.

My Ninjas =)

Sunday shopping with Nkm for her working cloths at Sunway. I be good this time, I did not shop =) Truly a companion for the day. Yet, I walked till I drop. It was just a few hours shopping, still bearable if I'm in a friendly shoes. I choose the wrong shoes, one inch heel. I thought the heel is comfy as the first time I tried it, it's definitely an angel to my feet. But no, my misunderstanding, it was HELL in the end. I barely able to walk for long which make me such a troublesome companion. I'm sorry. Next time I will just wear sandals for good!

But I still enjoyed the day. I'd great food.

I'm honoured to say this, I have brekkie for the day! =) I forget when did I have my last brekkie. Ermmm, last week? Last two weeks? Or last month? Hahahahha! I really couldn recall. Nowadays, I'm waking up at 2pm which make quite impossible timing for breakfast.

So, here come BREAKFAST in Ninja Joe!
p/s: My first time trying Ninja Joe.


Value lunch during the weekdays. It's really worthy! I would prefer Ninja Joe than McDonald. I hope KK have Ninja Joe too then I know where to head to during lunch =(

Ninja's original pork burger belonged to NKM. Well, my teriyaki tastes better =) HAHAHHAHAHAHA, it always feels good that the food you order is better than the other.


Twins burger. But you see, the left, my teriyaki looks more juicy and yummy!


Chili sauce is a must for every burger I swallowed.

Okay, after snapping lots of pictures with the burgers and fries, I finally speak the decent word, "LET'S EAT!"

Taste of childhood sweetness wraps with bites of dark chocolate chip. It's a perfect combination! And, the combination colours is lovely! I was too excited and took a scoop before even taking picture. That's explains the flaw in the ice cream.
